Finding Nemo Premiere on Disney Junior Canada & Toyota Prius v CONTEST!

When I think about June, Father's Day is the second thing that comes to my mind. The first thing that comes to mind is my youngest son's birthday, which is also the 3rd week of June. 3 years ago--after I got over the initial shock of my son arriving 5-weeks early--I became very excited that my husband would get to celebrate Father's Day with our sweet little newborn! That is the best Father's Day present anyone could ever hope for, I believe.

FINDING NEMO (Sat June 15 @ 6pm ET) -
In celebration of Father's Day, Finding Nemo is premiering on Disney Junior Canada on Saturday June 15th, at 6:00pm Eastern Time!  (Be sure to set your PVR to record it!)  Finding Nemo is a wonderful story about a clownfish, Marlin (Albert Brooks) who would do anything to protect his young son, Nemo (Alexander Gould).  Nemo lost his mother at a very early age, and was born with with a small right fin, which limits his ability to swim.  These two factors make Marlin overprotective, but he must come to terms that his son is growing up.  It's time to start school, but can Nemo make it without his dad there to guide him?
Preparing a Special Meal to Eat During Finding Nemo!

Sadly, there is real danger ahead when Nemo disobeys Marlin and ventures outside of the safety of the Great Barrier Reef.  Marlin becomes frantic when a diver takes Nemo into his boat and motors away!  I don't wish to spoil more of the plot, so do tune in to Disney Junior Canada on June 15th to watch a devoted father on his quest to save his beloved son.  This top-rated film features an all-store cast including Ellen DeGeneres (Dory), Willem Dafoe (Gill), Albert Brooks (Marlin) and more!

FINDING NEMO MOVIE PARTY FOOD!

Our Finding Nemo Movie Party Food!
To celebrate the movie premiere of Finding Nemo, my son and I tried out some tasty recipes that we can eat during the film!  We made Goldfish Cracker open-faced sandwiches on a cream cheese bagel, surrounded by veggies and fruit.  We also made blue jello with Swedish fish!
Goldfish Cracker Open-Faced Sandwich!
Goldfish Cracker open-faced sandwiches are very quick and easy to make!  Just slice one bagel in half, spread on a cream cheese of your choice, and have your child gently press in Goldfish crackers.  Surround the sandwich with your child's favourite fruits and veggies, putting a piece of fruit in the bagel hole to make it festive!
"Fish bowl" Jello with Gummy Fish Inside!
My son and I made "fish bowls" of "berry blue" jello and Maynards Swedish (gummy) Fish inside.  I tried to create this recipe two different ways, as I wasn't sure how it would turn out.  I followed the instructions on the berry blue jello, and I let only the jello chill in the fridge for 90 minutes.  After that time, I slitted the jello with a knife and positioned the gummy fish inside.  Then I put the jello back in the fridge to let it fully form.  The result was beautiful, but the fish "bled" colour a bit.
Can You Spot Nemo?  Hint: He's the Only Orange Fish!
My kids really loved how this second batch of jello turned out.  Just as before, I used "berry blue" jello to make the "water".  I followed the jello directions and let the jello fully form in the fridge before adding the gummy fish.  As soon as I was ready to serve the dessert, I had the kids decorate the jello with Maynards Swedish (gummy) Fish--but this time, on the outside of the jello.  This prevented the fish from "bleeding" colour, and also made the dessert appear more colourful and vibrant than the other recipe.
